Fred for First Campaign "Crushes" Q2 Fundraising Goal

Fred Camillo’s Campaign for Greenwich
First Selectman ‘Crushes’ Q2 Fundraising Goal

The “Fred for First” Campaign Committee is excited to announce they exceeded their fundraising goal for Fred Camillo’s campaign for First Selectman of the Town of Greenwich. As of the end of day Friday, July 12, the campaign successfully raised over $60,000. The campaign, which only recently launched fundraising efforts in April has had 252 individual donations with just over $44,000 cash on hand. This early success can be attributed foremost to Fred’s deep roots, strong friendships and popularity across town built over his entire life.

Fred announced his campaign for Greenwich First Selectman on Tuesday, March 12 at Arch Street Teen Center, with over 300 friends and supporters by his side. Since his announcement, Fred continued his duties as a state representative, in Hartford, fighting against efforts to impose tolls and raise taxes on Greenwich residents. With the legislative session completed in June, Fred’s campaign has kicked into high gear.

A fourth-generation Greenwich native, Fred is a dedicated public servant, who has served the town for nearly four decades as an elected official, board member and active volunteer for numerous organizations. As an elected state representative of the 151st District of Greenwich Fred has, for eleven plus years, tirelessly and proudly represented the people of our diverse town both locally and on the state level.  He is eager to further that service as First Selectmen and help lead the town into the future.
